The Real Game Changer: A New Order System

At the heart of making my customers happy was getting smarter about how we managed orders. It was all about the details – making sure orders were tracked, updates were sent in real time, and we could quickly tell customers if their favorite dish was out of stock. Not only could we see information in real time, the system also see historical reports of online ordering metrics from various reports provided.

What Made the Difference

Real-Time Updates: Keeping our customers in the loop with instant notifications about their order status not only kept them informed but also made them feel taken care of. It was a small thing that made a big difference. 

Out-of-Stock Notifications: There’s nothing worse than craving a dish only to find out it’s unavailable. With our new system, we could let customers know if something was off the menu, suggest alternatives, and even give them a heads-up on when it might be back on the menu. Being proactive also meant we didn’t need to return payments and reconcile platform fees for orders we couldn’t fulfill.  

Pausing Orders: Running a restaurant is a journey of feast or famine, with hectic busy times mixed in with quieter periods. Sometimes we got overwhelmed with orders, making it difficult to maintain our quality and service. With our new system, it was easy to pause new orders briefly until we caught up with the backlog. This helped us care for every customer instead of creating frustrated and disappointed customers.

This new way of doing things was a win-win for everyone. My customers felt more in control and appreciated the extra effort we put into keeping them informed and satisfied. And for us, it meant fewer mistakes, happier diners, and a smoother operation all around.
