I ran a little restaurant for several years, and when we started offering online ordering, it changed everything for us—and our customers too. The convenience of letting people order from anywhere, anytime, really made a difference. They no longer needed to swing by or call during busy hours; they could just hop on their smartphone or computer and place an order right from home or work.

Making Things Easier

When we switched to the free online ordering system, it was like knocking down walls. Beforehand, customers had to be here in person or catch us on the phone, hoping the line wasn’t busy. What’s really cool is that people can order outside our regular kitchen hours. They can set up their lunch order late at night or arrange a big breakfast in advance. This feature means we can accept orders from night owls and early birds who want to place orders when we are not open for business. It’s just so convenient because people can order whenever they think of it, knowing they can collect it later, at their preferred time, when we are open.

But with online ordering, there were fewer mistakes.  Customers could see their order on the screen, double-check it, and hit send. It cut down on mix-ups and meant less hassle for everyone. We had far fewer mistakes to fix and it gave our customers confidence that they would get what they ordered. 

Upon reflection, our revenue grew because our customers loved the convenience of online ordering.
