Pickup and Delivery Combinations

I decided to use different online ordering platforms, one for pickup orders combined with several other third-party providers for delivery orders.

For pickups, I went with a platform that didn’t eat into our profits, which was a breath of fresh air because it meant we could keep our prices friendly for our customers. This platform made ordering a piece of cake for folks who wanted to swing by and grab their meals.

For delivery, I added third-party providers to my online ordering platform; Uber Eats, DoorDash, you name them. It expanded our reach, making us more appealing to customers who wanted their orders delivered.

🤣 “I became a culinary strategist, balancing pickup and delivery options to maximize efficiency and profits, turning every order into a well-played move on the chessboard of restaurant success.” Quote of the day

The Real-Deal Benefits

Reaching Out Far and Wide

Partnering with third parties for deliveries meant that my restaurant was on the radar of thousands who scrolled through those delivery apps daily. It felt like we went from a local joint to a city-wide sensation overnight. Not only were we more visible, our online platform supports order customization and our customized orders increased sales too.

Saving Pennies Where It Counts

Not having to run my fleet of delivery bikes or cars meant more money stayed in the business and less stress about coordinating deliveries. And because I paid no commissions on pickup orders I kept more of my hard-earned profit and only paid commission on delivery orders.

Getting Noticed Without Trying Too Hard

These delivery apps don’t just sit there; they’re out there hustling, getting your name seen by potential customers. Not only do they help me take more orders, they also help increase my average order value by providing Upselling and Cross-Selling options. It’s like having a marketing buddy without hiring one.

In a Nutshell

Jumping into partnerships with third-party delivery services was so worth it. It put my restaurant right in the hearts and homes of more customers than I ever imagined. I would do it again, in a heartbeat.
